Chile: Economic activity dips in November
Economic activity decreased 2.5% compared to the same month of the previous year in November, which followed October’s 1.2% decrease. The outturn marked the worst reading since February 2021. November’s figure was due to deteriorations in the mining and non-mining sectors.
On a monthly basis, economic activity declined 0.8% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, which contrasted Octobers 0.6% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth fell to 3.6% in November (October: +5.0%), which marked an over one-year low.
