Chile: Inflation stable at a 10-month high in November
Consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month in November, down from a 0.8% jump in October. According to Statistical Institute, November’s softer result chiefly reflected a decline in prices for housing and basic services. In addition, core consumer prices declined 0.2% (October: +0.6%).
Inflation logged 2.5% in November, matching October’s result which marked the highest print since December 2018. Meanwhile, core inflation eased to 2.5 (October: 2.6%).
Annual average inflation came in at 2.2%, matching October’s result.
