China: Growth in house prices stabilizes in September
House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities rose 0.5% in September in month-on-month terms according to a weighted average index calculated by Thomson Reuters from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The result matched the result in August. According to the NBS, the sale prices of newly constructed residential buildings increased in 53 cities (55 in August).
House prices rose 8.4% annually in September, below the 8.8% rise in August and the lowest result in one year. Annual average growth in house prices, however, inched up from 9.7% in August to 9.8% in September, the strongest result since October 2017.
