China: Industrial output growth dips in October
Industrial production rose 5.0% year on year in October (September: +6.3% yoy). October’s deterioration was largely due to slowdowns in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
On a monthly basis, factory output increased 0.3% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, which was below September’s 0.8% expansion and marked the worst result since April. Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 3.8%, up from September’s 3.6% reading.
