Colombia: Consumer confidence deteriorates in July
Consumer confidence fell to minus 10.4 in July from June’s 2.9 according to a survey elaborated by Fedesarrollo. As a result, the index crossed the zero-point threshold separating optimism from pessimism among consumers.
The fall came on the heels of a deterioration in consumers’ views of their economic situation and the country’s general economic condition in the coming 12-month period. Moreover, willingness to buy housing, durable goods and vehicles decreased.
