Colombia: Manufacturing output softens slightly in December
Manufacturing production expanded 13.1% year-on-year in December, decelerating from November’s 14.0% increase. Looking at the details of the release, 32 out of the 39 total subsectors recorded growth in December, down from the 37 total that logged in increases in November. December’s moderation was largely due to clothing manufacturing output increasing at a softer pace in December, which more than offset the acceleration of beverage production output.
Still, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of manufacturing production coming in at 15.9% in December (November: 14.8%).
