Colombia: Inflation inches up in October
Consumer prices rose 0.16% over the previous month in October, decelerating from September’s 0.23% increase. October’s print reflected slower rising prices for food, as well as lower prices for household items.
Inflation ticked up to 3.9% in October (September: 3.8%), thus edging closer to the upper bound of the Central Bank’s target range of 3.0% plus or minus 1.0 percentage points. Meanwhile, annual average inflation remained unchanged at September’s 3.4%.
