Colombia: Inflation ticks up in September
Consumer prices rose 0.32% over the previous month in September, contrasting August´s 0.01% drop. September´s increase was largely driven by higher prices for information and communication, transport as well as for housing and utilities.
Meanwhile, inflation ticked up to 2.0% in September (August: 1.9%), thus landing at the lower band of the Central Bank’s target range of 2.0–4.0% percentage points. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to 3.1% (August: 3.2%). Lastly, core inflation inched down from 2.3% in August to 2.2% in September.
