Costa Rica: Economic activity growth eases in June
Economic activity increased 7.9% in annual terms in June, down from May’s 8.1% increase. June’s slowdown was largely driven by a deterioration in the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector. In addition, the manufacturing sector weakened.
Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth rose to 4.5% in June (May: +4.1%), pointing to an improving trend.
On a monthly seasonally-adjusted basis, economic activity rose 0.5% in June (July: +1.5% mom s.a).
