Costa Rica: Economic activity records lowest expansion since April in November
Economic activity increased 5.0% in year-on-year terms in November (October: +5.5%). November’s result marked the worst reading since April. November’s downturn largely reflected a deceleration the manufacturing and information and communication sectors. However, growth in the agricultural sector accelerated.
Meanwhile, annual average economic activity growth rose to 5.6% in November (October: +5.5%), which marked an over one-year high. On a monthly basis, economic activity rose 0.6% in seasonally adjusted terms in November, contrasting October’s 0.3% fall.
