Costa Rica: Consumer prices fall at quicker pace in November
Consumer prices declined 1.6% in annual terms in November, which followed October’s 1.3% year-on-year fall. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell at a faster clip in November. In contrast, prices for transportation declined at a more moderate pace, while housing prices grew at a quicker pace.
Annual average inflation fell to 1.3% in November (October: 2.1%).
Lastly, consumer prices fell 0.23% from the previous month in November, contrasting the 0.21% rise recorded in October. November’s result marked the lowest reading since April.
