Costa Rica: Inflation inches up in May
Consumer prices decreased 0.01% over the previous month in May, swinging from the 0.29% increase logged in April. Looking at the details of the release, the result was largely due to lower prices for information and communication, as well as for education.
Inflation came in at 1.3% in May, inching up from April’s 1.2%. Meanwhile, the trend remained unchanged, with annual average inflation coming in at April’s 0.5% in May.
