Costa Rica: Inflation picks up pace in October
Consumer prices increased 0.08% over the previous month in October, down from September’s 0.27% rise. The figure was primarily driven by sharper growth in prices for transport, as well as for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which were partly offset by lower prices for education, and rent and household services.
Inflation rose to 0.5% in October from 0.3% in September. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 0.9% in October (September: 1.0%).
