Croatia: Economic sentiment records worst reading since September 2023 in June
Economic sentiment came in at 105.3 in June, down from May’s 107.7. June’s result marked the weakest sentiment since September 2023. That said, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected weaker sentiment in the retail and services sectors. Moreover, consumer confidence waned in June. However, sentiment in the industrial and construction sectors improved.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index fell in June.
