Croatia: Economic sentiment improves in July
Economic sentiment came in at 106.1 in July, up from June’s 105.3. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline improvement was solely driven by stronger confidence in the services sector. On the flip side, sentiment in the industrial, construction and retail sectors weakened. Lastly, consumer confidence remained unchanged in July.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index increased in July.
