Croatia: Economic sentiment rises to over one-year high in December
Economic sentiment came in at 109.7 in December, up from November’s 107.9. December’s result marked the strongest sentiment since January 2022. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial, services and retail sectors. That said, sentiment in the construction sector weakened. Finally, consumer confidence remained unchanged in December.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index improved in December.
