Croatia: Industrial output bounces back in July
Industrial output expanded 1.7% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in July, which contrasted June’s 8.3% decrease. July’s result marked the best reading since November 2023. The reading reflected a broad-based improvement, with activity in the mining and quarrying, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and manufacturing sub-sectors all improving in July.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 8.0% in seasonally adjusted terms in July, rebounding notably from June’s 3.7% fall and marking the best result since June 2000. Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.7%, up from June’s minus 1.9% reading.
