Croatia: Industrial output drops again in May
Industrial output fell 3.3% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in May (April: -2.0% yoy). The figure came on the back of a decline in manufacturing production. However, mining and quarrying production improved.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 2.5% in seasonally adjusted terms in May, which was notably better than April’s flat reading and marking the best result since September 2023. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.0%, down from April’s minus 0.6%.
