Croatia: Decline in industrial output softens in April
Industrial output declined 2.0% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in April, which was a less pronounced contraction than March’s 5.0% decrease. The smaller drop was due to a rebound in manufacturing output, and a weaker contraction in mining and quarrying production.
Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.6% in April, up from March’s minus 0.7%. On a seasonally and calendar adjusted monthly basis, factory output flatlined in April (March: +0.5% mom).
