Croatia: Industrial activity dips in August
Industrial output fell 2.4% year on year in calendar-adjusted terms in August, which was a deterioration from July’s 0.7% decrease. The notable downturn was largely driven by contractions in mining and quarrying and manufacturing production.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at a two-year low of minus 0.8%, down from July’s minus 0.5%.
On a seasonally and calendar-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell at a more moderate rate of 2.2% in August (July: -3.0% mom).
