Croatia: Industrial output grows at quickest pace since September 2022 in June
Industrial production grew 2.2% year on year in seasonally and calendar-adjusted terms in June (May: +1.3%). June’s print marked the best reading since September 2022. The improvement was mainly driven by a stronger expansion in the manufacturing sector and a softer contraction in the mining sector. In contrast, the electricity and gas sector slid into negative territory.
On a seasonally and calendar adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose at a softer pace of 2.0% in June (May: +4.3% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over two-year low of minus 0.2%, down from May’s minus 0.1% reading.
