Croatia: Industrial production rebounds in February
Industrial output rebounded in February, growing 3.3% in working-day adjusted terms from the same month last year in February, contrasting January’s 0.4% drop, which marked the first increase in four months.
February’s result was driven by healthy expansions in production in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning and manufacturing sectors, while the production in the mining and quarrying sector contracted heavily. The manufacture of tobacco and beverages recorded particularly sharp increases.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production in February expanded 2.2% in seasonally- and working-day adjusted terms, contrasting January’s 1.7% decrease. Annual average growth in industrial production in February remained unchanged at January’s 1.6%.
