Croatia: Consumer prices fall for the fifth-consecutive month in annual terms in August
Consumer prices dropped 0.10% over the previous month in August, a weaker decline than July’s 0.49% drop. August’s softer drop was largely driven by a more moderate decline in prices for clothing and footwear compared to the previous month, while prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rebounded.
Consumer prices ticked down 0.1% on an annual basis in August, following July’s 0.3% decrease and falling for the fifth consecutive month. Similarly, annual average inflation edged down to 0.5% in August (July: 0.6%).
