Croatia: Inflation comes in at highest level since October 2008 in December
Consumer prices were flat from the previous month in December, after the 0.75% increase recorded in November. December’s result marked the weakest reading since June. December’s result largely reflected falling prices for housing and utilities as well as for clothing and footwear. Meanwhile, prices pressures for transportation rose over the previous month.
Inflation came in at 5.5% in December, which was up from November’s 4.8%. December’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since October 2008. Annual average inflation rose to 2.4% in December (November: 1.7%).
