Croatia: Inflation comes in at highest level since our records began
Consumer prices increased 1.12% in June over the previous month, coming in below May’s 1.40% rise. June’s result marked the weakest reading since February. The softer rise was largely driven by slower growth in prices for food. In addition, price pressures for transportation rose at a softer pace. Moreover, prices for clothing and footwear dropped.
Inflation increased to 12.0% in June from May’s 10.8%. June’s result marked the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 6.3% in June (May: 5.4%).
