Croatia: Inflation holds steady in August
Consumer prices were unchanged from the previous month in August, contrasting the 0.9% drop recorded in July. According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (CBS), August’s print largely reflected higher prices for transport and recreation and culture being offset by lower prices for clothing and footwear, and food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation remained steady in August at July’s 2.1%. Meanwhile, annual average inflation ticked up from 1.4% in July to 1.5% in August, the highest reading in over four and a half years.
