Croatia: Inflation increases in May
Consumer prices increased 1.40% over the previous month in May, slowing down from the 2.70% rise logged in April. May’s result marked the softest rise in prices since February. The figure was primarily driven by softer growth in prices for food. Moreover, prices for clothing and footwear grew at a more subdued pace.
Inflation came in at 10.8% in May, up from April’s 9.4%. May’s reading was the highest inflation rate since our current records began. Annual average inflation rose to 5.1% in May (April: 4.6%).
