Croatia: Harmonized inflation remains stable in February
Harmonized inflation came in at 4.8% in February, matching January’s figure. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices rose after dropping in the previous month, while price pressures for transportation picked up pace. That said, food inflation softened in February.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 7.2% in February (January: 7.8%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was unchanged, coming in at January’s 4.1% in February.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.30% from the previous month in February, swinging from January’s 0.29% fall. February’s result was the highest reading since August 2023.
