Croatia: Harmonized inflation rises in March
Harmonized inflation ticked up to 4.9% in March, following February’s 4.8%. March’s figure was the highest inflation rate since December 2023. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices rose at a quicker pace in March compared to the previous month, and price pressures for transportation gathered steam.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 6.8% in March (February: 7.2%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was unchanged, coming in at February’s 4.1% in March.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.91% over the previous month in March, accelerating from February’s 0.30% rise. March’s figure marked the highest reading since July 2023.
