Croatia: Inflation comes in at highest level since August 2008 in March
Consumer prices rose 2.02% over the previous month in March, after the 0.93% increase seen in February. The pick-up was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food, transportation, and housing and utilities.
Inflation increased to 7.3% in March, above February’s 6.3%. March’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since August 2008. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of consumer prices coming in at 4.1% in March (February: 3.6%).
