Croatia: Inflation falls to over one-year low in July
Inflation came in at 7.4% in July, down from June’s 7.6%. July’s reading represented the weakest inflation rate since March 2022. The result was driven by moderating price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and utilities.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 10.9% in July (June: 11.3%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation fell to 8.0% in July, from June’s 8.3%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.24% in July over the previous month, which was below June’s 0.88% rise. July’s result marked the weakest reading since February.
