Croatia: Inflation increases in August
Inflation came in at 7.7% in August, up from July’s 7.4%. The uptick was driven by a rebound in transportation inflation. On the flip side, price pressures for food and housing and utilities softened.
The trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 10.5% in August (July: 10.9%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation rose to 8.4% in August, from July’s 8.0%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.47% in August over the previous month, which was below July’s 0.24% rise.
