Cyprus: Economic sentiment stable in June
Economic sentiment was unchanged at May’s 103.8 in June. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating sentiment in the industrial, construction and retail sectors. That said, confidence in the services sector strengthened, and consumer confidence was up in June.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index rose in June.
