Cyprus: Industrial output growth accelerates in September
Industrial output expanded 3.6% year on year in calendar-adjusted terms in September, which was above July’s 3.4% increase. September’s improvement was chiefly driven by stronger growth in manufacturing output. On the flip side, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production contracted.
Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at 0.4%, up from August’s flat reading. On a monthly basis, industrial output increased 0.4% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, which was above August’s 0.3% expansion.
