Cyprus: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since April in July
Harmonized inflation came in at 2.4% in July, down from June’s 3.0%. July’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since April. The drop was primarily due to softer price pressures for transportation and hospitality. That said, food prices rose at a speedier clip.
Annual average harmonized inflation was unchanged at June’s 2.6% in July. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 2.1% in July from the previous month’s 2.9%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.75% over the previous month in July, accelerating from June’s 0.36% rise.
