Cyprus: Consumer prices drop again year-on-year in October
Consumer prices increased 0.56% over the previous month in October, slightly lower than September’s 0.86% rise. October’s result largely reflected higher prices for clothing and footwear, housing and utilities as well as for transport.
Consumer prices slid 0.8% on an annual basis in October, marginally less than September’s 0.9% decline. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices was stable at September’s minus 0.5%. Lastly, harmonized consumer prices dropped 1.9% year-on-year in September (August: -2.9% yoy), which is the latest month for which data is available.
