Cyprus: Harmonized inflation moderates in October
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.6% in October, down from September’s 4.3%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transporation and recreation grew at a more moderate pace in October.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 4.9% in October (September: 5.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.5% in October, from the previous month’s 4.0%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.14% in October over the previous month, contrasting the 0.17% rise recorded in September. October’s result marked the weakest reading since January.
