Cyprus: Inflation rises to 11-month high in February
Consumer prices rose 0.4% from the previous month in February, contrasting January’s 0.6% month-on-month decline. According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus (CYSTAT), the reading mainly reflected a sharp increase in prices for clothing and footwear.
Inflation climbed to an 11-month high of 1.3% in February from 1.1% in January. Meanwhile, annual average inflation held steady at January’s 0.2%. Lastly, harmonized inflation remained stable at 0.7% in January, which is the latest month for which data is available.
