Czech Republic: Economic sentiment increases in August
The economic sentiment indicator, published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), rose to 93.4 in August from 91.4 in July.
The business confidence index rose to 93.9 from July’s 91.1. The result came on the back of stronger sentiment in the industry, services and construction sectors.
On the flipside, consumer sentiment declined in August, with the index falling to 91.0 from 92.7 in July. The decrease reflected households’ growing concerns over the economic situation in the next twelve months as well as worsened assessments of their current financial situation.
