Czech Republic: Economic sentiment rises in March
The economic sentiment indicator, published by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO), rose to 93.9 in March from 91.7 in February.
The business confidence index rose to 95.2 from February’s 92.5. The result came on the back of stronger sentiment in the industry and trade sectors.
Conversely, consumer sentiment decreased in March, with the index falling to 87.1 from 87.7 in February. The decrease reflected households’ increasing concerns over their own financial situations and a reduced willingness to buy big-ticket items.
