Czech Republic: Industrial output rebounds in March
Industrial output grew 0.4% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in March, which contrasted February’s 0.3% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output decreased in March, while electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output gathered steam. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying output decelerated.
On a monthly basis, factory output increased 15.0% in seasonally-adjusted terms in March, rebounding notably from February’s 2.7% fall and marking the best result since September 2020. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 5.6% in March, down from February’s 6.9%.
