Czech Republic: Industrial activity records largest drop in 10 months in February
Industrial production dropped 0.4% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in February (January: +1.2% yoy). The figure was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing output growth. In addition, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production fell heavily.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 2.4% in February (January: +3.3% mom). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 6.9% in February (January: +6.7%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
