Czech Republic: Industrial output bounces back in February
Industrial output expanded 0.7% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in February, which contrasted January’s 0.4% decrease. The reading was largely driven by an improvement in manufacturing output growth. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output fell heavily.
On a monthly basis, factory output increased 1.9% in seasonally adjusted terms in February, rebounding from January’s 2.8% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.8% in February, down from January’s minus 0.7% reading.
