Czech Republic: Industrial output growth decelerates in October
Industrial output grew 3.1% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in October, which was below September’s 8.3% increase. September’s result marked the best reading since June 2021. Looking at the details of the release, production decreased at a sharper pace for electricity, gas and steam and mining and quarrying. Moreover, output manufacturing output growth eased.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 3.7% in October (September: +0.0% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth in industrial production coming in at 1.3% in October, following September’s 0.6%.
