Czech Republic: Industrial output growth improves in May
Industrial output rose 1.4% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in May (April: +1.2% yoy). The figure was largely due to a rebound in manufacturing output. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output fell markedly.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rose 1.5% in seasonally adjusted terms in May, contrasting April’s 1.9% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 3.1% in May, down from April’s 3.2% reading.
