Czech Republic: Industrial output remain flat in January
Industrial output was flat year on year in working-day adjusted terms in January, which followed December’s 0.5% decrease. January’s reading was largely due to a rebound in manufacturing production. In addition, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output contracted at a more moderate rate.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 2.3% in January (December: +2.7% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.7% in January, up from December’s minus 0.9% reading.
