Czech Republic: Inflation increases in April
Inflation came in at 2.9% in April, up from March’s 2.0%. April’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since December 2023. Looking at the details of the release, transportation prices rose at a quicker pace in April compared to the previous month. Moreover, price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages also picked up pace.
Annual average inflation fell to 6.3% in April (March: 7.1%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.66% in April over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.13% rise logged in March.
