Czech Republic: Inflation inches down in August
Consumer prices remained unchanged from the previous month in August, following July’s 0.45% rise. Looking at the details of the release, August’s reading reflected higher prices in transport offsetting falling prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Meanwhile, inflation decreased to 3.3% in August (July: 3.4%), however remaining above the Central Bank’s 1.0%–3.0% tolerance range. Lastly, annual average inflation was stable at July’s 3.2%.
