Czech Republic: Inflation edged down in June
Consumer prices rose 0.2% from the previous month in June, following May’s 0.7% month-on-month increase. Data released by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO) revealed that June’s moderation was largely due to softer price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Meanwhile, inflation edged down from 2.9% in May to 2.7% in June. As a result, it moved closer to the midpoint of the Central Bank’s 1.0%–3.0% tolerance range. Annual average inflation held steady at May’s 2.5% in June.
