Denmark: Business confidence cools in August but remains optimistic
Business confidence fell to a four-month low of 3.0 in August from July’s over seven-year high of 7.0. As a result, the index remained above the 0-point threshold, separating optimism from pessimism among businesses.
Sentiment among firms in the services sector was unchanged from July’s solid optimism, while confidence in the construction sector turned optimistic for the first time in four months. That said, firms’ sentiment in the retail sector eased in August.
